flying an other countries flag ONLY (in this country), is disrespectful to this country as a whole. its not freedom of speech. it is disrespectful to everyone who ever did, is, or will do, good things for this country. it is disrespectful to the original ideas that this country was founded on. flying the US flag at the top of the mast and an other countries flag below it, shows respect for BOTH countries. in their country they will place their flag at the top and ours (or an others) flag below. that is respect.
yes, one does HAVE THE FREEDOM to honor an other country/flag here. this country does have some great allies and we should respect them (yeah, we have some crappy allies and enemy too). if we or our family came from an other country it is ok to respect their memory and their efforts by flying their countries flag TOO.

Yes, I think it's a good idea that you take classes to make sure you know how to be safe with the weapon.

we used to list things for sale on C/L fairly regularly. USED TO. the "offers" have been so stupid, I've quit listing the items on C/L. like you, if I list $1000, I don't want to hear an offer of half of that. if I want to give something away, I'll list it at give away prices. sure make an offer people, but don't be an A$$.
no one knows any better than this house that the economy is in the toilet. if we HAVE to sell something it will be LISTED at a super cheap price. so far, we're scrapping by, so we're still not in the mood to give stuff away. even still, I'd schedule an auction before I give stuff away on C/L. we've worked HARD to get what we have, there's no sence in giving it all away!
Either way I would at least google the item and see how much it originall sold for and check to see if there were any defects. I don't understand why people get sooooo mad about someone posting a used item over priced, duh. You shoot high, they shoot low, you meet somewhere in the middle. Isn't that the point? I am sure the buyer would rather have the new one, so they probably know how much they are.
And the worst are those people who think they need to advertise the mis pricing of a particular item to everyone. Who cares what you think. Feel free to let me know if you get robbed by a craigslister but I don't care to hear from the price patrol. Get a life!
When I post something I usually price it a few dollars higher than I would sell it for so I can have a little room to bargain.
And antiques? Don't EVEN get me started on them! I know what I own..............and it realy pisses me off for people to stand there and say "Well, reproductions are so much like the originals that you really have to be careful"..............I think should warn you my left is more powerful than my right since I play string bass!!!!!

ok sure, we can bomb them from a distance... sort of. the planes still have to get reasonably close. those planes (jets) are flown by our military, not only are they flown by the military they are maintained by the military. long range missels... military (army & navy). safe distance? not always. and just how do we pick our targets while we stay "at a safe distance"?

So, finding me was no problem.... She moved away when the daughter was almost 1 year, and i never knew where she moved or anything. I didnt care to know either, because i had no clue we had a child together. She was just an ex-girlfriend to me, i moved on as well.
About 6 months ago, i get served with Child Support papers while at work..... I am now married, and my wife and i have a child of our own.
Getting served with Child Support papers was a shock to us all! Of course, there was a court ordered DNA test to make sure. YES, it is my daughter! I was happy to know i had a daughter, but sad and very upset that 7 years of my daughters life had already passed by!
30 after the DNA test, i am ordered to pay $350 a month in Child Support, plus an extra $150 a month to pay off the back child Support. I owe more than $17,000 in back Child Support! I was given the option to pay ALL the back Child Support within 30 days, or it would go on my credit. I, of course, don't have that kind of money, and don't qualify for that kind of a loan. My wife and i live pay check to pay check. I am also court ordered to pay for full health insurnace through my work.
Now, i think that's honestly bullshit. How do i owe back child support for a child i was never aware of? It's not like i knew i had a child and refused to pay. The mother waited 7 years to tell me.
I wanted to fight for my daughter as well, considering i was married and stable. The mother of the child has a boyfriend. He is a Pharmacist and makes enough money to support he and our daughter. However, since they are NOT married, they don't count his income, even though they live together and pay bills together.
She is unemployed, because he boyfriend makes enough money for all of them.
I wanted to have visitation rights to my daughter as well, or even shared custody.....I was DENIED!! Even though i am being court ordered to pay Child Support, which i have been on time, they wont even let me have visitation, etc. The mother now lives out of state, 7 states away, with her boyfriend. They said, if i want visitation, i would have to drive down there, 7 states away, and stay there in that state for the weekends, and then drive back another 7 states. And, i was DENIED for shared custody. The mother pulled the 'You never were a part of her life, she doesnt know you, etc etc." Well, thats BULLSHIT. I had no choice! The mother waited 7 years to tell me i had a daughter! If i knew, i would have been there the entire time!!
So, my wife and i thought about getting a home loan to move closer, so we could see her on the weekends. But, i am now DENIED for any type of home loan, because i have $17,000+ Back Child Support on my credit report now! Even though it shows i am paying it, i am still denied for a loan.
And recently, my ex and her boyfriend decided to get married. They are now talking about her new husband to adopt our daughter, and i even loose the rights to visitations. WTF!?
Both my wife and i work full time, pay $300 a month for child care for our own child, and on top of the $350 child support, and $150 back Child Support, plus an extra $115 month health insurance for just my 7 year old daughter. We are having a hard time affording our own bills now, but Child Support Enforcement doesnt take into account what our bills our. They only take into account how much money we make, and then take a chunk of it.
I am NOT made about having a daughter. I dont think she was a mistake, I am very happy to learn i have a daughter. But NOT being able to have shared Custody, because the mother waited 7 years to tell me? Why am i being punished? Paying out the ass when the mother doesnt have to lift a finger to work?? And dont even pull that shit, "Well she is busy raising your child!" She could have had me in the picture, but she didnt tell me.
I recently found her on MySpace.... good old MySpace.....I emailed her, asking for pictures of our daughter, as i dont even know what she looks like! She REFUSED to even show me a picture of her! However, she did post pictures of the new house her boyfriend bought them, and the new Durango they bought too! Then she bragged on her blog about how she gets money from me and how its a 'guarantee' that she doesnt have to work now.

Of course she gets the tax breaks...she takes care of the kids 24 out of every 28 days. It is a tax break on the income she makes, not what your giving her in support. AMEN BROTHER!!!!! You hit the nail on the head with this reply! That "Do Gooder" should shut the hell up. I am paying 1/4 of my salary in child support for one kid only. His poor little mommy is a welfare junkie (food stamps, free lunch, free lawyer, etc.), stealing money from anyone she can. In addition to the Feds and the State, now she is standing in my handout line. One thing I have discovered, there is absolutely no fairness when it comes to divorce or child support in this country. The men always get the shaft.

Tax break...are you kidding me. She does not get a tax break on the money you give her. It is SUPPORT for your child not INCOME. That is just 3 things and already half of that is more than your paying. That doesn't included insurance, gas, lunch money at school, clothes, extra curricular activities etc. This is just an example. Child support is not put in place to bankrupt a man. It is in place to help pay for your children.
I got divorced to get away from my ex wife. All the while knowing that when it was over I was still going to have my children and still going to have to support them. I currently have my kids (2 of them) 1/2 of the time. I have them every other week, all year long and I still pay child support every month. I guess I'm a Dogooder because they go to daycare, and I pay half, and when they get sick they can go to the doctor, I pay half.
Dont worry about their mom. Dont come back to me saying "she lives off the state, she is a bum." I dont want to hear it. Take care of your business, YOUR responsibility.
If you still think your getting the shaft, take her back to court. The courts in Missouri would rather have the kids with both parents half of the time. That is what they think is best for the kids now anyways.

When you allow your workers to inflate the cost of anything as much as auto workers had....................and CEO's, management of ANY KIND getting bonuses in out the ass amounts................and so on and so forth.
This country needs to get a grip on reality. No wonder foreign countries call us the names they do.
1) You began tossing around the "embezzlement" word the first day of your tenure when there was no indication of even being a penny off, and our accountant is utterly reliable-just so you know Ive had eyes on the books to make sure.
2) Then you began using our governing body as an excuse to accomplish your goals, I can tell you they dont like that at all, and there will be repercussions.
3) You then asked the secretary to give you the unopened date stamped bank statement because no one else needed to know how much was in our account, then you file 13ed the envelope with the date stamp and placed the unfolded bank statement in the front office inbox where anyone could walk by pick it up and look at it( I know I did it just to see if it could happen). So now anyone can see what we have in the bank, and there is no way to track when we received the statement because youve pitched the date stamped envelope.
4) You have reprimanded the office secretaries for every small thing they have done, berated them for supposed wrongs, and are now threatening them with loss of their jobs if they dont do exactly as you tell them.
5) Your failure to understand business laws, and labor standards resulted in you handin gout an outdated copy of the break time regulations to secretaries who knew more about it than you did. And made major enemies out of people with strong enough connections to get you fired.
6) We have yet to see it, but I can guarantee that soon you will be handing down Hitleresqe dictates on how often we need to dry clean our clothing, what types of detergent we can use at home, and what specific shampoo we have to use, and sniffing peoples clothing as before( youve been reprimanded once for this already) so you can once again go off you allergy meds, and wont have to sneeze.
8) Your constant critisizim of the previous office manager is very unprofessional and should cease immediately, we dont care wether you liked his politics or not, and the office is not the place for sniping about someone who is now your supervisor, and just so you know, he is well aware of it
9) You have alienated anyone who might have been able to help you retain your job right from the start, and the home office has requested that I give you enough rope to hang yourself. You can bet Im going to do it.
10) When I go into my office at lunch and lock the door behind me, it is not because I am shutting out the other folks in the office, its because Im shutting you out. My lunch time is mine, and I am not interested in your inability to handle your childs educational issues, nor are they my responsibility to sort out, so the door is locked and no I wont be answering it when you knock.

I saw an ad on Craig's List for a place in Holt's Summit. Called the "real estate company" about the place. $750 a month. READY TO MOVE INTO. I got the address, made an appointment with the OWNER of the agency, and showed up. I thought "nice neighborhood...kinda small houses....some places well kept, some dumps, but if the house would "hold" us, it would be ok".
So, the owner showed up, older man, introduced himself. I had already walked around the exterior and wasn't excited about this and that around and felt it "really" needed a coat of paint. We go inside and I was aghast with how small it was, with the wall paper that had been stripped off the wall "by the former tenent" he said, how dirty the walls were, how cruddy the floors looked and then he said "I think you'll like the basement. It's a seller for the house". hhhmmmm! gonna have to be one heck of a lot better than the upstairs, I thought. We head off down the steps and yes, the downstairs was better looking than the upstairs, but good heavens...................it wasn't "THAT" much better.
By this time I was thinking: Who, in their right mind, would rent this place at this kind of money, being it's this dirty after being told it was "READY TO MOVE INTO"? Excuse the expression, please, but I almost said to the man: Were you expecting to rent to white trash? Because, buddy, with a place looking like this, that's the ONLY THING you're going to attract!
Luckily enough I had found another ad on Craig's List for a place in Jeff that was $900 a month. Private person. Upfront and honest about his place. Had no problems with my pets since he owns pets himself. Have a contract with him and yes...............the house is "well worth" the $900 a month.
So to those of you out there seeking some place to rent, beware. The "jerks" are out there.
But at the same time, don't be a JERK OF A RENTER that causes the breakdown in communications, the anger issues that landlords have with tenants, and most of all, if you walk in a place that looks like "trash" people would live in it for the price it is, TELL THE PERSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and then be on your way!
Check out your landlord just as much OR MORE than the landlord checks you out. Lets face it: if you are told it's ready to move into, it's only common sense to think the walls have been painted, the carpet has been cleaned, the stove/ice box/etc., have been cleaned when you go to view it. If you get there and the walls are dirty, the stove is filthy, the ice box looks like it came out of a bar, etc., etc., etc.......this landlord ISN'T going to give a rat's ass about you if you need something repaired. And when you get ready to move out, they're more than likely going to be the one that says "You don't get your deposit back because the place is dirty"!
I just get sick of the "women" thing all around. You men are just as bad.
I came home from Holts Summit a few days back. Got behind an 18 wheeler coming around the corner to that big long hill before the river........he was weavin all over the place. And what was that "man" doing when I passed him? TEXTING ON HIS PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 18 wheels on the ground............swerving.............yeah, like we need ANYBODY doing that, but the point is: YOU MEN are not just 1/3 as bad, you are JUST AS BAD!
Our dog was dead asleep since the trick or treaters had died off by 8:15 and when she popped through the door with NO WARNING (no knock, no bell), he was startled. He wouldn't have ever hurt her but I'm pretty sure she would have been better off without the experience of a dog that probably seems huge to her, barking. Luckily we had him a leash so he couldn't dash out the door throughout the night, however, again, since the doorbell hadn't rung and no one had knocked, we were all surprised.
Please PLEASE escort your children to doorsteps when they are that young. Even the groups of kids mixed with older and younger siblings ensure someone is watching out for them.
